CWW bounce back to draw with Lumbini

Lumbini almost had it done but eventually C.W.W. Kannangara bounced back to record a hard-fought draw as their Under-20 Schools League Division I B rugby encounter played at the Air Force ground in Ratmalana earlier on the day.

Lumbini were strong and accurate in their approach and opened their scoring with a penalty and added two more tries in quick session which were successfully converted to tally their 17 points. Lumbini led at half time by 17-10 over C.W.W. Kannangara who scored two unconverted tries during the first session.

Both teams fought valiantly but eventually the only scoring opportunity, a converted try was claimed by C.W.W. Kannangara who recorded an impressive draw.
