HP offers 'Advantage Plus' free notebook insurance

The local unit of one of the top global laptop brands, HP, will partner up with Sri Lanka Insurance to provide free-of-charge insurance for those buying its Notebook (laptop) products during the upcoming holiday season, according to a statement.

Called "Advantage Plus," this offer also follows other recently launched customer-centric initiatives such as the HP E-Club customer loyalty programme and Rapid Repair Service centres.

HP's statement additionally noted; "Any customer who purchases the following HP Notebook models, DV4,DV6,G4,G6, Probook 4430s, and 4530s, from an authorised HP Business Partner is entitled to this free 'All Risk Policy,' which will cover the notebook against all risks except for riot and strike and terrorism. Customers can easily obtain the policy by calling the Sri Lanka Insurance hotline once they purchase a HP notebook from an authorised partner."

Further indicated, there was also a provision to increase the value of the insurance policy to "match the market value of their notebook."
