Akshaya bags 3 Bronze Medals

Akshaya Kumarajeewa of St. Josephs College Colombo who represented Sri Lanka at the 7th AASF Asian Age Group swimming Championships in Jakarta, Indonesia bagged 3 bronze medals for Sri Lanka. Swimmers from over 20 countries participated at this international swimming championships.

Akshaya improved on the National record for the 200m Breast Stroke event by clocking a time of 02:32:76. He also won bronze medals for his country in the 50m Breaststroke and the 100m Breaststroke events. Earlier Akshaya had also won 10 silver medals for Sri Lanka at the Sri Lanka-Karnataka swimming meet held in Bangalore India in August. He is trained by Ruwan Manawadu Head Coach of St. Josephs College, Colombo 10.
