Australia's reputation in proving quality education

Australia has a well earned reputation for providing high quality education pathways for international students. In response to recent issues within the education sector, Australian institutions must meet high levels of compliance to government regulations which act to protect the rights of these students.
For over 25 years, Tuart College, a government school in Perth, Western Australia, has been at the forefront of provision of quality university preparation programmes for international students. This has been achieved through the maintenance of a high standard of infrastructure, employment of experienced teaching staff and the implementation of targeted student support services. These factors have combined to allow Tuart College keep ahead of the mandatory requirements set by the Australian government.

To achieve its high standing, Tuart College has:

  • Small class sizes, limited to 25 in academic subjects and 18 in specialist English classes.
  • An adult learning environment to assist the transition to university.
  • A low ratio of international students to local students.
  • Regular review of student progress, with reporting to parents.
  • Experienced commendable academic success, with 41% of our graduates being ranked in the top 10% of students in 2010 and in excess of 75% of our graduates gaining entry to tertiary institutions each year.

As a means to improve student learning in 2012 and beyond, Tuart College will provide each Year 12 student with a MacBook Air laptop computer on a loan basis. With an upgraded wireless network system, students will be able to access learning materials through an integrated teaching/learning programme. This initiative will enhancethe student experience at the College and allow students to keep up with the latest e-learning techniques, which will be invaluable preparation for university studies. Used in conjunction with the "Tuart Online" facility, students will have access to a wide range of educational materials which will act to broaden their learning experience.

The widespread use of electronic whiteboards as teaching aids and the development of video and web conferencing facilities provide Tuart College with the opportunity to work in a collaborative fashion with schools overseas. The main aim of the use of these state of the art facilities is to provide instruction to students and professional development to teachers.

If you are interested in enrolling in a progressive institution, with a proud history of providing opportunities for international students, consider Tuart College.
