In a bid to promote photography the Rotaract Club of Panadura in partnership with the Photographic Society of Sri Lanka, National Photographic Art Society Sri Lanka, Canon, Metropolitan, Ogilvy, United Nations, IYV+10 Steering Committee – have come together through the ‘Rotaract Shutterbug’ initiative which will run from July to October 2011.   

This project initiative consists of three main segments - Photography training, a Photography Competition and a Photography week.  

The Rotaract Shutterbug training applications are now open and the deadline is on August 10, 2011. This training consists of a two day residential training (from August 20-21, 2011), field training (August 27, 2011) and review session (evening on 2nd or 3rd September 2011).

The participants will also get a hands-on training in advance photography equipment introduced by Canon- Metropolitan and the 5 outstanding participants will get to win 5 exciting assignments with the United Nations for their visibility items for the year 2012!  

The Rotaract Shutterbug competition is also open and the deadline for entries is September 10, 2011. The competition offers some exciting prizes from Canon- Metropolitan and become The Ultimate Rotaract Shutterbug! Win a Canon 600D, G12 and S95!
