Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion MD removed

Malraj Kiriella, acting Managing Director of the Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau was removed on Friday and a new appointee appointed by Economic Development Minister Basil Rajapaksa, government sources said.

They said A.M. Jauffer, who was attached to Milco sometime ago, has been named to Mr Kiriella’s post. There was no confirmation as to whether Mr Kiriella, who has been working in Sri Lankan Tourism for many years, would remain in the organisation in another position. The sources were unable to give reasons for the removal.
