Fonseka wants 2nd court martial verdict annulled

A writ application was filed by former Army Commander Sarath Fonseka in the Court of Appeal against the ruling of the second Court Martial which sentenced him to 30 months RI.

The petitioner cited Army Commander Lt. General Jagath Jayasuriya, Major General M.P.Pieris, Major General S.W.I Dalugala, Major General M. Hathurasinghe. Rear Admiral W.J.S. Fernando and the Attorney General as respondents.

The application was for a writ to quash the entirety of the proceedings of the aforesaid second Court Martial.
