The Past Prefects Association of Zahira College, Colombo will organize the “Zahira Super 16 Soccer 7’s 2010” football tournament for the sixth consecutive year on October 16 (Saturday) from 8.30 am onwards at Zahira College Grounds, Colombo.
This is an inter school invitational 7-a-side football tournament approved by the Sri Lanka Schools Football Association (SLSFA).
The tournament will be conducted in two categories, namely the Cup Championship and the Plate Championship.
The winners of this year’s cup championship will be rewarded Rs.50, 000/- and the Plate champions Rs. 20,000/- in addition to cash awards to runners-up and 3rd place in their respective categories. Total cash and other awards to a worth of Rs.500, 000/-is up for grabs at the tournament. In addition, all participants will be rewarded with certificates and prizes. The organizing committee is proud to announce that this is the first soccer tournament in the country which offered cash prizes at schools level. |
