Bishopians do well at Age Group Diving

Proving that strength in numbers is no barrier for victory, the brave hearted team of 06 divers from Bishop's College emerged runners up at the National age group diving championships of 2010.

The championship which was worked off at St. Joseph's College and Police pools saw some of the best performances in the local diving scene.

The sextet from Bishop's College performed exceptionally well earning 49 points, losing the top notch title by just two points. They achieved this feat with just six divers while the winners from Vishaka Vidyalaya emerged victorious with a team of thirteen.

Getting placed in both categories of Springboard and Platform, the Bishopians also showed their prowess of the sport in both age groups of Under 15 and Under 13. Sachini Dissanayaka and Nivanka Nanayakkara took the lead in adding points to the team, being placed in both the springboard and platform.
