EFFECTIVE PROJECT MANAGEMENT WORKSHOP

Project Management Solutions (PMS), the leader in project management training and consultancy solutions in Sri Lanka plans to conduct a two-day workshop on Project Management on July 8 and 9 2010. PMS is a Registered Education Provider (REP), with Project Management Institute (PMI) USA, and conducts several courses on project management for people responsible for working on projects. The proposed Effective Project Management training programme is a PMI approved programme and the participants will be awarded with a universally recognized certificate endorsed by PMI USA.

The workshop on effective project management provides practical skills, concepts and principles you can take back to the job, along with insights you'll need to adapt to specific project environments.
This course is for people responsible for managing, leading, coordinating and working on projects who have limited experience or knowledge of practical, formal project management methods. The content of the programme supports projects carried out in any industry, field or sector; private, public, manufacturing, services, accounting, marketing, IT, HRM, telecom etc.

According to Ms Malintha Perera, Manager Training of PMS, the use of Projects and Project Management continues to grow in our society and its organizations. The past several decades have been marked by rapid growth in the use of Project management as a means by which organizations achieve their objectives. What organizations achieve using project management methodology today would demand greater efforts and time if they are to be achieved in traditional ways.

Project Management tools and techniques help us to optimize resource utilization and carry out activities faster, with a greater degree of flexibility. These skills are mandatory for any profession, discipline or field.

May it be, Marketing, HRM, Finance, IT, Manufacturing, Services or Government, most of the things we undertake in these fields are projects. One's Career advancement and Country's National development greatly depends on how successfully we complete their projects.

The trainer Duminda Weeraratne is a renowned trainer in Sri Lanka for PMP and CAPM certifications. He is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and has an MBA of PIM. He has trained over 3000 people on project management and related skills. More details about the programme can be obtained from www.pms.lk
