Amarasekara: PM’s secretary

Former Agriculture Ministry Secretary Sirisena Amarasekara was appointed as secretary to Prime Minister D. M. Jayaratne yesterday.

Mr. Amarasekara, 64, has served as secretary in several ministries, including Highways, Fisheries, Western Region Development, Ports and Shipping and counts 40 years in public service.

He will assume duties tomorrow.
