The Commercial Bank of Ceylon said last week it has increased standard cash withdrawal and point-of-sale limits on its ATM and Shopping Debit Cards from April.

Cardholders can now withdraw up to Rs 40,000 from ATMs and make purchases of up to Rs 100,000 per day, using their Commercial Bank cards However, higher limits can be made available at the request of the cardholder, the bank said in a statement.

“Our cardholder base continues to expand rapidly, keeping pace with the growth of the Bank’s retail customers,” a spokesman said. “Usage of the ATM network increases proportionately, and an increase in withdrawal limits was timely.”
