The Past Prefects Association of Zahira College Colombo will organize the Zahira Super Sixteen Soccer 7s 2009 football tournament for the fifth consecutive year on Saturday November 21 from 8.30 am onwards at the Zahira College Grounds, Maradana.

The main sponsors of the tournament O.H. Sulaiman (CEO) of The Phone Company handing over the sponsorship cheque to PPA President Shahey Faleel. Principal of the College T.K. This is an inter-school invitational football competition approved by the Sri Lanka Schools Football Association (SLSFA).

The tournament's advisory committee will consist of officials from the FFSL and representatives of FIFA,
It is conducted annually with the main objective and theme of "Adding More Value to Youth Football in Sri Lanka."

The tournament will be conducted in two categories, namely Cup Championship and the Plate Championship.

The winners will be awarded Rs. 75,000. Many cash rewards and awards to the value of Rs. 500,000 too will be on offer.

The main sponsors are 'The Phone Company' and Pyramid Wilmar (Pvt) Ltd while the co-sponsors are Dialog and QP Group.
