TNA to discuss IDP resettlement with President tomorrow

A delegation from the Tamil National Alliance (TNA) will meet President Mahinda Rajapaksa tomorrow to call for the immediate resettlement of Internally Displaced People (IDPs).

The delegation led by TNA Parliamentary group leader R. Sampanthan will also include MPs N. Sri Kantha, Mavai Senathirajah, Suresh Premachandran, Shivshakthi Anandan, K.Tangeswari and I. Imam.

Mr.Premachandran said they would also discuss other issues including proposals for a political settlement to the national problem after the resettlement of the IDPs.

Last week Mr. Sampanthan told the BBC the TNA would extend its full support to the President to find a settlement to the country’s national problem adding such proposals should be initiated by the Government.
