Robin Hood on Rupavahini

‘Robin Hood’, the BBC production of the television serial on the children’s much loved character is now being telecast every Sunday at 7 pm on Rupavahini channel.

Directed by John McKay and Declan O’Dwyer, the role of Robin Hood is played by Jonas Armstrong while Marian is played by Lucy Griffiths. Among other famous characters Sir Guy of Gisborne is played by Richard Armitage, the Sheriff of Nottingham by Keith Allen, Will Scarlett by Harry Lloyd Little John by Gordon Kennedy, Allan A Dale by Joe Armstrong and Much by Sam Troughton.

When ‘Robin Hood’ was first telecast in 1980s with Sinhala subtitles it was under the guidance of veteran filmmaker and television producer Titus Totawatte. The present production with Sinhala subtitles is by Athula Ransirilal.
