‘New York’ in Colombo

The Hindi movie ‘New York’, a story of friendship will be screened at the Savoy, Wellawatte from June 6 simultaneous to the worldwide release.

Directed by Kabir Khan and produced by- Aditya Chopra, ‘New York’ is a contemporary story of friendship set against the larger than life backdrop of a city which is often described as the centre of the world. The film is starred by John Abraham, Neil Mukesh and Katrina Kaif in the lead as the three friends and it is set in the backdrop of 9/11 attacks.

Omar (Nell Nitin Mukesh) has gone abroad for the first time in his life and soon enough he begins to see and love America through the eyes of his American friends — Sam (John Abraham) and Maya (Katrina Kaif). The story develops with these three friends discovering a new world together until one day the world around them changed.

The story takes a dramatic twist when Roshan (Irrfan), an FBI undercover agent who enters to their lives and sets the ball rolling for a series of tumultuous events that turn the lives of friends into a dangerous and thrilling roller coaster ride.

‘New York’ is imported and distributed by ‘Event Concept’, famous for bringing down English, Tamil and Hindi blockbuster movies to the island.
