If you are car or bike crazy, and if you’re hot on having a good time, there might be something pretty interesting on offer! This June, Colombo is bound to see something different happening as Celeste Event Planning & Management (Pvt) Ltd in collaboration with Auto Lanka presents Ig’night’ – A Street Party with a Difference.

Ig’night’ is a car and bike fest which will allow you to show off your ride to other vehicle owners as well as the public. “It is catered mainly for guys and girls who own exotic vehicles, modified vehicles or fast vehicles,” says Kusal Dalpadado, Managing Partner, Celeste, and went on to state that only the best 75 cars will be on show, while more vehicles will be accommodated depending on space.

The event will be held at the small club grounds of S. Thomas’ College, Mt. Lavinia and will be divided into three parts: For the display of vehicles, the DJ and dance floor and refreshment stalls. “The idea is to create an American street party experience with a huge dance party, which will kick off at around 9pm,” Kusal says, adding “The cars will be an attraction to the crowd plus we will have a few prizes for the best cars.” The prizes will be for the Best Interior, Best Exterior, the Best Engine Set Up as well as the Best Sound System.

“We decided to have this event because no one has done it before,” says Emalka Hapuarachchi, Events Head, Celeste adding that Madawa Mutukumarana, Head, Autolanka.com has played a major part in organising the event with Celeste.

A number of vehicles will be on display, of which some of the clubs attending the event will be the Nismo Club, the Mighty Mini club, Subaru WRX. STI Club, the Mazda/ Ford Club and the Honda Club.
