‘No Return’ in Negombo

‘No Return'-'Apahu Harenna Behe’, award winning playwright Rajitha Dissanayake's latest theatrical production will go on boards at Rukmani Devi Theatre, Negombo at 3.30 pm and 6.45 pm on June 28 and on July 2 at Elphinstone Theatre, Colombo.

A powerful attack on the present social and political situation in the country, the play revolves around a man who fights to live up to the principles he believes. The culture of manipulating media to mislead the public and replace falsehood in the absence of truth 'Apahu Harenna Behe' is an interesting and entertaining play. Filled with mild satire, Rajitha's play conveys the ironies with which we live and which have become a part and parcel of our culture today.

A production by the Freedom Theatre Group, talented and veteran cast included Saumya Liyanage, W. Jayasiri, Jayani Senanayake, Prasad Sooriyarachchi, Dharmapriya Dias, Bimal Jayakody, Shyam Fernando and Anasuya Subasinghe.

Music composed by Theja Buddhika, costume and set designed by Pradeep Chandrasiri. Make up by Priyantha Dissanayake, lighting design by Priyankara Ratnayake and Ranga Samarakoon. Stage Management by Malith Peiris and Jude Srimal is the chief coordinator.
