A Celebrity Day was planned by the Taj Airport Garden Hotel recently 2008 at the Harbour Bar. This event was done to felicitate the Secretaries of the Free Trade Zone and Airport & Aviation, and joining these Secretaries were the ladies from the Negombo Housewives Association.

A Celebrity Guest Appearance was made by Rozanne Diaz, who spoke to the audience of her experiences both in the Miss. Universe Pageant and also her Choreography experiences in the current Ms. Sri Lanka for Ms. World Contest.

Also as a part of the Celebrity Day was a Yoga Presentation by Yoga Master Mr. Rodrigo, who briefed the ladies on the merits of Yoga and making it apart of their daily routine and this was followed by a Beauty session by Oriflame, the Swedish Cosmetic Company popularly represented in Sri Lanka. With the participation of ladies present on the occasion, a beauty session was conducted by Ms. Virginia Corera, the National Sales Manager for Oriflame.

Followed by lunch there was music for dancing performed by DJ Ranga, a well known vocalist in the Negombo area, while the Compere at the event was Ms. Rosanne Edirisinghe, who is also a dubbing artiste and the voice behind many famous Hindi Movies.
