Making Avurudu memories VERTISTMENTS

Greetings yet again, folks, and yes, Subha Aluth Avuruddak Wewa! Puththandu Nal Valthukkal! Ok, right now you are probably dressed in your brand new Avurudu attire and are just about to stuff yourself with Kewum, Kokis, Aasmi and what not; all those simply delicious sweets that you just cannot resist. (Do be aware, though, that the sweet stuff is oily, extra sugary and certainly not for those on a diet).

Eyes wide open

I was channel surfing the other day when I stumbled on a perfectly splendid new reality TV series called How to find a husband on Discovery Travel and Living (an excellent channel, which I highly recommend). It was an hour wonderfully spent, and I say this with no shame. How to find a husband was so enjoyable that I found myself diligently following the series, stressing out if I missed an episode and going online to see if I could catch it up, every chance I got.

Godaya gets his heart broken
For those of you who were wondering where Godaya was last week, I was not in a Godaya-writing mood. I managed to get my heart broken by not heeding the advice of the tall-wise-maternal-creature. If you've been through a heart break, you know what the feeling is like. It becomes a time of self pity and you start to see everything in a negative way. I seemed to be rubbing it off on others too. I was a Midas of sorts, making most people around me all gloomy and grey.
