Sellout charity banquet for the blind

The Grand Charity Banquet to collect funds for the Blind and Visually Handicapped to be held on Wednesday at the Waters Edge Resort has been a complete sellout. It will be attended by over 700 corporate executives, the organisers said.

All leading business institutions and professional firms have taken tables and the event will be handled by well-known musical bands led by Sohan and the X-periments. The organizers of this event are the Sri Lanka Federation of the Visually Handicapped, the national body run by the Visually Handicapped for the visually handicapped.

The organizers say that a few more promotional Banners for advertising are available. Marketing executives of leading companies who are interested in using this event to promote their brand names can contact the Office of the Financial and Insurance Ombudsman at 143 A, Vajira Road, Colombo (Tel. 2595625/4528671). These two bodies are co-ordinating this charity event as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility. Dr Wickrema Weeerasooria, the Insurance Ombudsman can also be contacted for any clarification.
