SLIIT Business School organises the first International Conference on Sustainable and Digital Business (ICSDB)
View(s):In pursuing its mission of conducting impactful research and disseminating knowledge, SLIIT Business School is organising the International Conference on Sustainable and Digital Business (ICSDB) 2022 on 1st and 2nd December this year at Waters Edge Hotel, Battaramulla and the main auditorium of SLIIT, Malabe Campus. This will attract Chief Experience Officers (CXOs) and practising managers across diverse sectors while researchers from Sri Lanka and overseas will share their insights, success stories and results of research in an array of domains under the theme of sustainable and digital business.
The panel of keynote speakers who will steer the conference comprises eminent personalities such as Emeritus Professor John Bessant of Exeter University, Professor Jaideep Prabhu of University of Cambridge Judge Business School and Professor Muthu De Silva of Birkbeck, University of London. ICSDB will also feature a few ambitious techno-entrepreneurs who will share their success stories while emphasising challenges faced, and strategies adopted and advice those who are aspiring to create their own stories in the space of sustainable and digital business. Enadoc is the digital innovations partner and PayHere is the digital payment partner of ICSDB 2022.
Speaking on the conference, the Dean of SLIIT Business School Professor Samantha Thelijjagoda said that ICSDB is a conference that is out of the ordinary in terms of the scope and the quality that will be maintained in every aspect of the conference. Prof. Thelijjagoda is confident that ICSDB will be a much sought-after conference in years to come.
He continued, “Motivated by the rising attention of businesses and regulators towards how digital transformation can assist sustainability improvement, ICSDB 2022 sheds light on theoretical and practical approaches made available through digitalisation to help organisations reach their sustainability goals efficiently and effectively. This conference is the first of its kind that aims to pave the way for a more streamlined and sustainable approach to strengthening the technological competence of the country.”
Authors are encouraged to contribute to and help shape the conference through submissions of their research abstracts and papers on digital business and sustainable development in thematic areas of sustainability; digital business, innovation and industry 4.0; business and development economics; finance, banking and accounting; consumer behaviour and marketing; human capital and knowledge management; supply chain, logistics and quality management; artificial intelligence, machine learning and business analytics and interdisciplinary studies.
