Curtin Colombo, the latest addition to Curtin University’s global operations, is now offering its pioneering degree programs in engineering, computing, and business to students in Sri Lanka and the region. Students have the option of completing the programs in Sri Lanka or transferring to Curtin University in Australia or to Curtin international branch campuses around the world.

In recent years, Curtin University has risen to 193rd position in the QS World University Rankings (QSWUR 2023) and remains in the top 1% of universities globally. Curtin University is now an international powerhouse committed to making tomorrow better.

The Curtin Colombo degree programmes in engineering, computing, and business are all practice oriented. Students may look forward to gaining industry exposure and practical skills during their study period. Several mechanisms are in place towards achieving this objective. The industry and alumni relations office organises industry visits, workshops, seminars, and guest lectures for students. The Curtin Sri Lanka alumni chapter connects Curtin graduates with students to provide mentoring support and assist with industry visits and industry projects.

Moreover, a dedicated Industrial and External Relations Committee (IERC) comprising industry experts has been established to provide advice and guidance on integration of training with the industry. IERC would draw attention to the recent technological advancements and evolving industry needs and provide feedback on industry orientation of the curriculum and career development of students. This will ensure that the delivery of the Curtin University degree programmes in Sri Lanka is appropriately contextualized, and the training meets the industry requirements and demands.
