The newly-constructed Sky Pet Animal Hospital of the Sri Lanka Air Force was declared open at Guwanpura, Borella.

On the invitation of the Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Sudarshana Pathirana, the hospital was declared open by First Lady Ioma Rajapaksa.

Mrs Rajapaksa unveiled the plaque, after which she cut the ceremonial ribbon and declared open the pet hospital.

She also made the first registration of a pet and was given a tour of the hospital where she was briefed on its many facilities and the unique services on offer.

The SLAF’s Sky Pet Animal Hospital is an inhouse solution specially developed to cater to the management of animal resources, with special emphasis on canines and felines.

Sky Pet Animal Hospital ensures that continuous care is provided for imported canines who are trained in the detection of dangerous and narcotic substances at airports.

The hospital’s services can be availed by the general public for their pets as well.
