Gateway College Dehiwala Shines at Yale MUN

From the 21st to the 24th of January, students of Gateway College Dehiwala attended a virtual MUN conference hosted by the esteemed University of Yale in the United States. Gateway was the only Sri Lankan delegation to attend this conference.

With 3000 delegates from 400 schools in dozens of countries across the world, the Conference witnessed intense competition. Despite having to debate on an online platform, Gateway’s delegates performed extremely well by getting accustomed to different debating procedures.

Shaheen Abdul Gani, Andrew Surendran and Tarush Wickramarachchi received the coveted Outstanding Delegate Awards in the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction, the United Nations Development and the United Nations Commission on Science and Technology for Development Programmes. Imaad Muwahid received an Honorable Mention Award in the World Bank.

Gateway College Dehiwala has once again demonstrated their prowess and emerged victorious at an International MUN conference, cementing their position as a dominant force in the MUN arena.
