Pitiwella Tag Championship to promote the game in South

In a bid to restart rugby and popularise the sport in the Southern region, the Pitiwella Tag Rugby Championship 2020 conducted before the outbreak of the second wave of COVID-19 pandemic. The tournament targeted mainly young schoolgirls and schoolboys from the Southern region with the participation of rugby stalwarts and star national players making it to the venue and even taking part in an exhibition game to the thrill of the youngsters.
