A.B. Welivita appointed as new Registrar of USJ
View(s):Mr. Anurudda Bandara Weliwita was appointed as the 10th Registrar of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura with effect from 30th November 2020. Present on the occasion was the Vice-Chancellor, Senior Prof. Sudantha Liyanage, all Deans,and Academic and Administrative staff of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura.
Mr. Weliwita completed his primary education at Sangarajapura Maha Vidyalaya, Kandy and secondary education at St. Sylvester’s College, Kandy. He is an Alumni of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, having graduated in the year 2000 from the Department of Business Administration in the Faculty of Management Science and Commerce. In 2002, he joined the Rajarata University as an Assistant Registrar. He was promoted as a Senior Registrar in 2008.
He completed his Masters Degree in Management in 2013 at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura. Thereafter, he joined the administrative staff of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura in May 2015 as Deputy Registrar of the Academic Establishment, and since then has rendered an outstanding service to the university.
