Excelsia College is a Higher Education Provider registered with the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency (TEQSA), approved to offer FEE-HELP, Youth Allowance, Austudy and Abstudy, and registered to offer courses to international students (CRICOS Provider Code 02664K). Excelsia College is an affiliate of the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities (CCCU) and a member of the Independent Higher Education Australia (IHEA).

Excelsia offers a range of Bachelors, Masters and PhD programs for international students with intakes in February, July and September 2021. Their courses include a Bachelor/Master of Music, Associate Degree in Music, Bachelor of Dramatic Arts, Bachelor of Screen Production, Bachelor of Early Childhood Education, Master of Counselling, Graduate Diploma of Counselling, Master of Social Work (Qualifying), Bachelor of Management and Entrepreneurship, Master of Business Administration, Master of Business Research (organisational Leadership) and Doctor of Philosophy (Organisational Leadership). The College is one of the only or few in Australia in the private higher education space to have a PhD in offer for international students. With self-accrediting authority, Excelsia’s world class academics are constantly designing the newest courses to fit the needs of today’s students.

Offering courses from Bachelor’ and Master Research, all the way through to their prestigious PhD program, students are mentored in intimate classes by an elite team of industry professionals and internationally recognised lecturers. As one of very few Higher Education Colleges to offer a Master of Research with options of progressing into a Phd, Excelsia’s aim of achieving University status by 2025 is imminent. This is an exciting new step in Excelsia’s 35-year journey of excellence in the Australian higher education sector.

In the 2019 QILT national survey, Excelsia College received excellent results across the board, registering scores higher than the national average in nearly all metrics of student experience.

Excelsia’s 2019 results saw the College become one of the top 25 higher education providers nationwide with improved results across the board. Findings among the survey’s undergraduate students also put Excelsia above most universities for Learner Engagement with a rating of 77.6%, above the national average of 63.4%, and Student Support, with a rating of 84.5%, above the national average of 73.7%. The results reinforce how highly students and graduates rate their experience at Excelsia, where a strong emphasis is placed on student satisfaction and experiential learning.

The newly launched Master of Social Work (Qualifying) aims to produce graduates who are professionally competent, aware of social-political realities of the human services and committed to social change through supporting and promoting the strengths of disadvantaged and vulnerable populations. This course will equip you with the knowledge, values and skills you will need to practise as an ethical social worker, equipped for the challenges of contemporary social work practice in Australia and beyond.

The Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (BECE) is designed to equip teachers with the knowledge, skills and understanding to provide quality early childhood education and care. The course supports students to build a deep, reflexive understanding of the child, child development, early childhood contexts, educational issues, theories and considerations, and the diverse needs of children, from birth to five years of age.  A continuing shortage of well qualified staff in the early childhood sector is an important motivation for the necessity and provision of this course. The Bachelor of Early Childhood Education Degree which has accreditation of ACEQA https://www.acecqa.gov.au/ and assessed by AITSL https://www.aitsl.edu.au/.

By choosing to study the Bachelor of Screen Production in partnership with Excelsia College and Sydney Film School, students will join a community that has diverse roots but is united in a passion for filmmaking. Sydney Film School was founded 13 years ago out of a desire to create a practical filmmaking experience focusing on the skills that are required for a successful career in the global film industry. Located alongside International Screen Academy in Waterloo, it is situated in a purpose built facility with world-class equipment available to students.

The Master of Counselling, a Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA) and Australian Counselling Association (ACA) accredited program, aims to develop essential clinical competencies, foster reflective awareness and provide a sound theoretical foundation for a career as a professional counsellor. The degree which integrates contemporary counselling theory, research and practice, contextualised within a Christian worldview and a mental health framework, develops counsellors who understand the personal, cultural, relational, psychological, social and spiritual domains of human experience and functioning; who are professionally and ethically informed; who will be sensitive to the diversity and uniqueness of individuals, families, and communities; and who will value and promote the dignity, potential and well-being of all people.

The Bachelor of Management and Entrepreneurship develops in students’ management and entrepreneurship knowledge, providing students with a solid grounding in enterprise creation and management. It will therefore appeal to students likely to (i) help run and manage their family business; (ii) start their own business independently or as spin-offs from the family business; or (iii) be working for, do business with or consult to family businesses or small to medium entrepreneurial enterprises. In the second and third years, students will continue to develop knowledge and skills and also apply these specifically in management and entrepreneurship contexts.

Excelsia College MBA is on “Leadership and Social Responsibility”. The program is designed to develop student’s leadership skills as well as knowledge of ethical and socially responsible practices within organisations. It can help students become a business leader that seeks to make a difference in the world by doing the right thing as it is good for business.
