University of Moratuwa Graduation Ceremony to take place in six sessions

The University of Moratuwa, will hold its 41st Graduation Ceremony on August 24 and 25 at the BMICH, in six sessions. The morning session will commence at 9:30 a.m. and the afternoon sessions at 1:30 p.m. and 03.00 p.m.

A university official said, a total of 1877 competent graduates with remarkable grades and the potential to inspire and challenge the status quo were conferred degrees in fields such as engineering, architecture, and business. Over 380 of these students will be receiving degrees at the postgraduate level, including 11 PhDs.

The Faculty of Architecture has 332 graduates receiving their first degree at this convocation and 57 graduates receiving their postgraduate degrees. The Faculty of Business, the youngest faculty of the university, has 25 graduates receiving their postgraduate degrees.

The Faculty of Engineering has 903 graduates and the Faculty of Information Technology has 268 graduates, who will receive their degrees at the ceremony. Diploma holders will also receive their diplomas at the ceremony.
