NEGC MasterCard Inter-Nation Golf Tournament on January 11

Nuwara Eliya Golf Club (NEGC), one of the top 30 and oldest golf clubs in the world, will host the second edition of the Inter-Nation Golf Tournament on January 11 in Nuwara Eliya.

This event will also support the tourism promotion drive focussing on the sport of golf among golf playing nations and to make Nuwara-Eliya and Sri Lanka the destination of choice for future international tournaments.

The tournament committee has made all arrangements to make this a memorable event and expect nearly 100 golf players representing 10 countries to tee off. Master Card is the principal sponsor of this event for the second consecutive year and have extended invitations to its international network for their participation.

Teams will consist of a maximum 24 players and the participating countries include India, Singapore, Malaysia, Korea, Australia, USA, UK, hosts Sri Lanka and a combined Asian and European team. The inaugural event was won by UK with the Indian team ending as runner-up. In addition to the prestigious Inter-Nation Challenge Trophy on offer, special prizes will be awarded for the first and second runner up team as well as individual prizes for the best net and gross score. Prizes will include airline tickets, weekend vouchers and many more exciting gifts.

Registrations are open by calling the NEGC office. This one-day golf event will have a practice day, one day prior at the same venue. Co-sponsors of this event are Zam Gems and Exotic Holidays.
