All winners of Maheepala Herath Challenge Trophy 2019 with the guests and officials

Senura Silva of Ananda College, Colombo and Jithara Warnakulasuriya of Ladies College, Colombo were adjudged best players at the All-Island Open Ranking Table Tennis Championship for the Maheepala Herath Challenge Trophy held at the Municipal Council Indoor Stadium in Kegalle.

Senura won the Under-15 Singles title defeating Dhanushka Wijesinghe of Kingswood and the Under-18 Singles title defeating Chandupa Alahakoon also of Kingswood.

Jithara Warnakulasuriya of Ladies College also won a double claiming the Under-18 girl’s defeating D.H. Kolambage of Dharmasoka College, Ambalangoda and the Under-21 Singles title with a win over Hansani Piumila of Visakha Vidyalaya, Colombo.

Udaya Ranasinghe of Vidyartha College Old Boys TT club and Ishara Madurangi of Sri Lanka Ports Authority clinched the Maheepala Herath Challenge trophies by winning the Men and Women Singles titles respectively.                                         - AO
