Committee for Grade one admissions to be set up
View(s):A special committee to review issues regarding Grade one admissions will be setup next week by the Education Ministry.
An Education ministry official said the seven member committee will review cases on Grade one applications which have been rejected. The committee will also look into such cases which can be appealed.
On Wednesday the ministry held a public day, and many complaints were lodged about the Grade one admissions.
The main objective of appointing this committee is to reduce the number of people who complain about this matter.
From next year the appeal process will be handled by the respective schools. The school principals will be in charge of the scheme.
