At the landmark occasion of Sanghamiththa College, Galle celebrating her centenary, Professional & Graduates Association of Sanghamiththa College Galle (PGASCG), launched “Sanghamith Prathibha” on November 1 at the BMICH, which publication commemorates the 100 glorious years of the school.

This publication is a compilation of 23 articles written by proud, professional daughters of Sanghamiththa College, whilst the other 2 articles have been reproduced in memory of the late Dr Thilokasundari Kariyawsam and Mrs Monika Ruwan Pathirana.

The publication creates a platform for a relatively reliable source of information on recent advances in various disciplines such as Medicine and Clinical studies, Engineering and Technology, Environmental Protection etc. It also comprises short communications, opinion articles as well. All the ideas and facts presented in the publication are extremely important, relevant and thought provoking. This publication will reflect the rich and historic past, present achievements and provides insight to the school’s future.

The Chief Guest on this occasion was Emeritus Professor J.B. Dissanayake, with Mr Sena Suriapperuma as the Guest of Honour.

The event was conducted under the patronage of PGASCG President Col Dr Udula Krishnaratne, Emeritus Professor Thaksala Serasinhe, Vijitha Malani Jayasekera AAL, and Kumari Jayasundera, in the presence of a large distinguished gathering.
