Grandpass Centre wins Championship

The SIP Academy Sri Lanka held its 15th National Abacus & Mental Arithmetic Competition, and training for children between the ages of 5 and 12, using the Abacus Methodology.

More than 800 children from 23 SIP Learning Centres in Sri Lanka participated at the event held at the Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium Colombo. The theme for the event was “SIP Prodigy”

South Africa’s High Commissioner in Sri Lanka, Robina P. Marks was the Chief Guest, while former ITN Director Hassim Omar and Personal Assistant to Resident Representative of Sri Lanka China CAMC Engineering Co. Ltd Colombo, Ruchira Yapa Abeywardena, were the guests of honour.

SIP Abacus Malaysia founder Kelvin Tham, Business Head Sri Lanka and Head of Customer Engagement and Capability Building Sanjeev Menon, SIP International Manager Mathew James and Country Manager
Sri Lanka Rishard Raheem were also present.

The Grandpass Centre were the winners of the competition, while the Kollonnawa and Kadawatte Centres came 1st and 2nd runners up.
