Jaitra bags his fourth successive ATF title

Jaitra de Saram and Kiran Vairavanathan emerged champions of the ATF U14 Week 1 and Week 2 doubles.

Sri Lanka’s Jaitra de Saram continued his winning trend at the ATF Under-14 Week 2 Tennis Tournament when he bagged his fourth successive title as he ended the two week campaign and partnered by Kiran Vairavanathan bagged the boys doubles title with a convincing two sets to nil win over the Indian pair Rurik Rajini and Vaibhav Sriram.

In fact Jaitra swept the board in the tournament as he came out victorious in the Week 1 Tournament concluded last week by emerging champion in the singles and doubles events also partnered by Kiran and two days ago (Friday) won the Week 2 singles title.

According to reliable sources this is first time that a junior Sri Lanka player has achieved this feat in the history of Sri Lanka tennis dating back to 104 years of tennis in Sri Lanka.

Boys Final: Jaitra de Saram/Kiran Vairavanathan (Sri Lanka) beat Rurik Rajini/Vaibhav Sriram (India) 2-0 (6/2, 6/0).
