An additional day will be provided for those who face any technical glitch or system failures when sitting for the General Information Technology (GIT) online examination, said Commissioner General of Examinations, B. Sanath Pujitha.

The Exams Department has set up 173 coordinating centres and exams will continue until October 21.

The pilot test was held for 186,097 candidates, from March 11-18, 2019, at 655 centres.

“Don’t confuse yourselves. Earlier it was the rehearsal test of the GIT examination that was held, while this is the proper examination,” he said
“Admission cards for all candidates’ were sent through their respective schools, while the candidates will be required to produce a valid identity card- National Identity Card/Passport/Driving Licence,” he added.

The Examinations Department decided to hold the GCE A/L GIT online exam for the first time in Sri Lanka, after several tests.
