Hotline for 2019 GCE O/L Practical exam candidates sans NICs

The Department of Registration of Persons (RoP) has introduced a hotline, 0115 226 115, for candidates of the 2019 GCE Ordinary Level examination Practical exams, who haven’t received their National Identity Cards (NIC).

The RoP Department said more NICs have to be issued for this year’s candidates.

Even though the candidates were advised to carefully read the forms before filling them, yet there are incomplete applications and late submissions.The RoP Department had repeatedy requested principals of schools, as of January this year, regarding the situation, but to no avail.

The RoP Department Commissioner said that registrations had started in March and the department has begun issuing the NICs,which have already been mailed to candidates via registered post. - DW
