Focusing on Employment Trends and the need to prepare learners to face the emerging skills requirements was the objective at this year’s Pearson Higher Education Forum. The topic which is a key area of interest and a point of debate across industry and educators was discussed during the Pearson Higher Education Forum 2019 stemming from the keynote speech delivered by DushanSoza, Managing Director BPM One Private Limited. Sharing some of the most up to date statistics, Dushan stressed on the need for educators and authorities to take a critical approach towards preparing the youth to face tomorrow’s ‘work-place’ challenges. Making her opening remarks PremilaPaulraj, Regional Director of Pearson shared the strategic direction taken by Pearson in the region to address the critical need to prepare learners to face the emerging employment trends in the next 3-5 years and the digitization of learning tools and platforms.
