Anjalika Kurera continued her winning streak as she maintained her reputation as Sri Lanka’s number one player. Anjalika contesting in the ITF Junior Circuit Week 3 tennis tournament being played at the SLTA tennis courts in Greenpath, Colombo cruised to the final with a comfortable two sets to nil win against Ya Chi Hsu of Chinese Taipei in the semi-final played yesterday.

Anjalika has had tremendous success in the recent past. In fact, she emerged champion at the ITF Junior Circuit Week 1 tournament which was held in late April this year in Sri Lanka.

Later she went on to bag the women’s singles title at the recently concluded 104th Colombo Championship and the 104th National Tennis Championship and this win saw her continuing her winning trend. For sure she will be looking forward to add another title to her cupboard.

The other semi final that was played saw Jessica Wirahadipoernomo  of Indonesia undergoing some anxious moments before recording a hard fought two sets to one win against Chin Wu o Chinese Taipei. She will meet Anjalika in the final scheduled to be played today.

Meanwhile the boy’s semi-finals that were played concurrently saw Kai Shiang Yang of Chinese Taipei and Uddayvir Singh of India making it to the final with wins over Hyeoung Jin Kim of Korea and Leroy Yong of Malaysia. The boy’s final too will be played today.
