Australia has 40 universities in total with 3 being private universities and one an open university. Edlocate represents 28 of these universities through valid agreements which include all the Group of Eight (Go8) universities, which are ranked within the best 150 universities in the world.

Studying in Australia at tertiary level enables students to obtain internationally recognised degrees in a vast number of disciplines.

The courses offered are most up to date as they are subjected to regular and periodical quality audits. In addition to this students are able to get practical work experience from 1.5 – 4 years on completion of the degree courses. Students are thus getting an opportunity to be job ready and also be attractive to prospective employers. Very few developed countries offer such facilities to international students.

Yet another advantage of studying in Australia is the ability to do casual work whilst studying as per student visa conditions.

Edlocate only handles genuine students whose primary aim is to obtain quality education at tertiary level and who are financially capable of completing studies to a completion. We strictly follow the Genuine Temporary Entrant (GTE) requirements when undertaking student assignments to be enrolled in university courses.

However students have no barrier in applying for permanent residency after studying in Australia and developing skills Australia needs. This is yet another advantage to international students in Australia.

The university representatives who will be available to meet prospective students and their parents at these one on one interview sessions will;

Guide on selecting a career that meets educational background and balancing with aspirations.

Assist to decide on course selection to embark on such a career

Give details on entry requirements and advice on pathway to graduate – direct entry or through accepted pathway programmes

Inform of the Tuition fee and payment procedures

Give details of the university affiliations with private and state sector institutions some with international connections that will enable students to get exposure to practical aspects relating their course during and post studies.

The cross credits possible to be granted towards degree courses based on Recognised Prior Learning (RPL) based on related Diploma, HND courses or first degree/ professional qualifications

Provide information to high achieving students on the possibility to secure a scholarship

All of these universities offer scholarships of one form or the other to high achieving and promising students both at undergraduate and post graduate levels. Unlike in other countries Australian universities offer scholarships purely on merit. For undergraduate scholarships applicant must have excellent results at GCE A/L and for post graduate scholarships an excellent first degree. Students with excellent O/L and GCE AS level can also qualify for scholarships when enrolling through university Foundation Programmes. The scholarships vary from part tuition fee in the first year to full tuition fees.
