For the first time in decades, Kilinochchi Hindu College, in the former war-torn capital in the North organized a ‘Sinhala Language Day’ as an awareness campaign to encourage students to learn Sinhala as a second Language.

Minister of National Integration, Official Languages, Social Progress & Hindu Religious Affairs, Mrs Densiya Kiritharan, and Kilinochchi Inspector of Police C.A.S. Chammika, were the Chief Guests. Students staged Art and Cultural events showcasing the rich culture of the Sinhalase community.
