The Examinations Department is inquiring into the possibility of the signatures of two invigilators for the 2019 GCE Advanced Level Exam, being forged. There appears to be a discrepancy in the signatures of the two invigilators who attended a seminar conducted at the Nuwara Eliya Zonal Education Office to prepare them for the GCE A/L Exam starting August 5.

Zonal Director M.P.A. Piyadasa said the two signatures have been placed in two columns, where two Principals from the Hatton Education Zone, had failed to attend.

The Seminar had numbers allocated to the participants, with about 400 teachers and principals attending the meeting. He said that a representative from the Examinations Department had visited the Nuwara Eliya district office to inquire into the matter and determine whether the signatures were placed erroneously or on purpose. – CC
