Having begun her career in lecturing seven years ago, with the inception of Horizon campus’s LLB undergraduate faculty which is an affiliate of the University of London’s International Programme, Hasini shared insight on the programme’s highly proven success rate since its commencement in 2012.

Hasini is an alumnus of University of London itself, thus giving her the opportunity to share her hand experience of being a student and a lecturer on this prestigious LL.B programme.

She stated that throughout her time at the campus she has had the privilege of teaching important subjects such as Criminal Law, Tort Law, Commercial Law and Criminology whilst witnessing the tremendous growth of the Horizon Campus’s LLB programme.

It has now become a role model due to the high quality of teaching and the very successful graduation rate manifested in increasing number of student intakes.

“Substantiating this growth as a Lecturer I am proud to say that LLB students from Horizon Campus have produced excellent results under the guidance of our skilled Lecturer Panel. Horizon Campus owe Dean of the International Programme Dr. Ruwan Perera for the successes of the LLB Programme. He has always been there for the students as well as for the Lecturers guiding them every step of the way, moulding them and harnessing their knowledge,” she added.

Situated in an environmentally friendly place equipped with modern class rooms and high standard peripheral facilities for students to pursue their academic path in a very comfortable setting, Horizon Campus is a place where everyone greets you with a warm smile and makes you feel welcome always.

Hasini went on to state that mooting is considered an essential skill required by LLB students in their post-graduation life as legal practitioners and has been privileged to coach Horizon Campus students in mooting competitions helping them in securing a place at the prestigious event of Law Asia Moot as well.

Horizon Campus thereby not only ensures high academic standards but also paves the way for the students to engage in extracurricular activities and among the LLB students the most exciting being the court visits and the Parliament visits. Hasini further acknowledged that as a lecturer she is indeed proud to witness graduates from Horizon Campus demonstrating the wisdom and finesse of a legal practitioner inside the courtroom, maneuvering and countering their opponents in front of the judges, equipped with the belief in the potency of the knowledge we as lecturers have given them.

“I would like to invite everyone hoping to pursue a career as a lawyer to join the LLB Programme offered by the prestigious University of London at the best law faculty in Sri Lanka found within Horizon Campus,” she emphasised.

The LLB programme delivered by Horizon Campus is offered through the University of London International Programme and focuses on key field areas including Criminal law, Tort Law, Commercial Law and Criminology amongst many others. The successful graduate rate of the programme has  manifested in increasing number of students in  achieving excellent pass marks over the past few years.

The University of London International programmes currently offered in 150 countries across the world has an estimated 100,000 students reading for its degrees in different disciplines.
