St. Mary’s Negombo junior footballers claim regional title

At the recently held Western Province Football Championship, the Under-16 and Under-18 football teams of St. Mary’s College, Negombo was able to show their colours by attaining the championship trophy by combating and defeating many other leading schools. The pillars of strength behind this great achievement of the students was the Rector of the school, Rev. Fr. Jayantha Wickremasinghe who provided the guidance for the football coaches of the school Nishantha Fernando and Dilshan Fernando, who did their very best to bring out the talents in the students.
