48th Annual Session and 78th Anniversary Celebration of the Institute of Chemistry Ceylon
View(s):The 48th Annual Sessions of the Institute of Chemistry Ceylon was held on Monday June 10th at the Sri Lanka Foundation at 9 am.
Chief Guest of this occasion was Navin Adikarama, Chairman of Industrial Development Board.
The following awards were awarded by the Chief Guest during the Annual Sessions.
- Yeoman Service Award
- Prof. Srianthie A. Deraniyagala
- Long Service Award
- Mr. Sahan A. Jayasingha
- Chandrasena Memorial Award
- Dr. Pamoda B. Ratnaweera
All Island Inter-School Chemistry quiz winner and runners up received the shield from the Chief Guest.
- Winner: K/Mahamaya Girls’ College, Kandy
- Second Place: BT/Vincent Girls’ High School, Batticaloa
Winner of the Chemistry Olympiad also received their medals from the Chief Guest.
Members of the Institute of Chemistry had their Annual General meeting at 12 noon at the same venue.
