Maroon’s Night – the dance organised by the OBAs of Ananda and  Nalanda Colleges in the UAE featuring Corrine Almeida, Shehan Perera and Anno Domini was postponed due to the current situation in Sri Lanka.

Maroon’s Night was scheduled for April 25 at the Movenpick Hotel, OUD Metha in Bur Dubai was postponed indefinitely due to the Easter Sunday massacre. The organisers send their condolences to the bereaved families and assure them of their prayers for peace and healing.

Speaking to  Shehan Perera, leader of Anno Domini it was interesting to note that this performance in Dubai is that country and that they are excited about it.

‘The event is on April 25th at Movenpick Hotel in Bur Dubai. It is the most prestigious annual event organised by Ananda College Old Boy’s  and will be attended by fellow alumni of Ananda and Nalanda as well as other schools, their families and friends, representing a vast cross section of the Sri Lankan community living in the UAE.  We are privileged to work with Corrine – one of Sri Lanka’s legendary singers. We have rehearsed with her and she is sounding amazing, as always’ he added.
