New Zealand’s Massey University to enter Sri Lanka via MTI

Massey University, New Zealand’s leading university with 35,000 domestic students and over 18,000 students offshore/worldwide, has appointed MTI Consulting to facilitate the market entry process.

“Sri Lanka, with a fast growing economy and as a gateway to South Asia, has been identified as a key potential opportunity for Massey’s higher educational and executive education offerings. Massey’s experience in Asia and its wide offerings can help Sri Lanka in developing the country’s core managerial and technical skills,” said Rob Stevens who is the General Manager, Massey University Worldwide and the Chief Executive, Massey Global Ltd, according to a media release issued by MTI.

Massey currently has formal international agreements with more than 200 institutions worldwide which include Foundation programmes, Pathway programmes, Undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, Home-government scholarships, Study abroad and student and staff exchange relationships, Transnational online and blended education delivery and Research collaborations. Currently international pathway programmes are available in China, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand. In Sri Lanka Massey is exploring three delivery routes i.e. face-to-face via fly in and fly out teaching, fully online and a blend of both face-to-face and online.
