The Dons were 90 for 1 in their second innings, when the game came to an abrupt end earlier than scheduled. They were leading by 48 runs after the first innings of both sides had come to an end after the second session on the final day.

Three notable knocks — all half centuries — were recorded from DSS batsmen while Mahanama could not produce such notable contributions in both departments.

Put into bat first DSS declared their innings at 244-9 with Shanel Baskaran (66) and Sandaru Wickramaratne (56) hitting half centuries. Manindra Jayathilake (38) and Amitha Dabare (36) contributed with two useful knocks while Lahiru Vithana and Sonal Gamage shone among the Mahanama bowlers.

Mahanama made slow progress and eventually decided to declare their innings after reaching 196-6 post lunch yesterday. Pawantha Weerasinghe top scored with 46 while Sonal Gamage followed him with a timely 40. Pathum Boteju chipped in with 25 coming late.
