System malfunction prompts MoE to call for fresh applications
View(s):The Ministry of Education (MoE) was compelled to call for fresh applications for the National Diploma in Teaching, for 2019, at the National College of Education, after the online application system malfunctioned. The MoE website said that, to facilitate candidates who had difficulty in applying online this year, they had decided to accept applications by post.
They said all applicants (irrespective of online applications) were required to submit applications prepared according to gazette notification of October 25, 2018, by February 15. Those with Advanced Level results of 2016 and 2017 were eligible to apply for the courses. Teacher Unions pointed out that it would be disadvantageous to those who may have not seen the MoE’s notifications regarding the malfunction of the online system.
