Sameera de Soysa’s career best knock of 155 propelled Ragama CC’s scoreboard helping his side to post a formidable score of 328 for 8 in reply to BRC’s 291 at the end of the second day’s play in the Premier Plate Championship cricket encounter played at Reid Avenue.
Sameera’s knock which came off 301 balls comprised 12 boundaries and a six and he was involved in a valuable 132 runs partnership for the fourth wicket with Saminda Fernando who chipped in with a 56.
Tons by Alankara Asanka and Kosala Kulasekera who together put on a massive 204 runs stand for the sixth wicket enabled Badureliya CC resuming from their overnight score of 325 for 5 to make 383 runs against Moors SC who ended day two on 236 for 7 in the match played at the BRC ground.
An unbeaten 144 by Prasansana Jayamanne helped Negombo CC resuming from their overnight score of 274 for 8 to end with a score of 365 and SLPA CC in their turn ended the day on 208 for 6. The matches will be continued today.
